Docuseries – thematic workshops

Docuseries is a thematic screenwriting workshop for graduates of Screenwriting for Beginners or Screenwriting in Practice only. The popularity of docusoap and docucrime series such as Ukryta Prawda, Lombard and Gliniarze opens new doors for screenwriters who would like to link their future with writing for television. Emotions, and “real-life” stories and characters we can identify with attract millions of viewers every day. The so-called docu- is also the fastest way to get your story on the screen!

Created entirely by graduates of Bahama Films, the series Gliniarze (Polsat) has already completed 17 seasons and constantly breaks viewing records.

How does the workshop look?

During the workshops, using examples, participants will learn the specifics of docuseries and how to arrange stories within this type of series. This is a genre that has its own rules. During our classes you will gain a workshop that allows you to efficiently tell stories, and create characters and dialogues that will appeal to producers, TV stations and millions of viewers. Ten-hour classes consist of a theoretical part and practical workshops.

At Bahama Films, we are constantly looking for talented screenwriters with whom we can develop current and new projects. Since 2016, more than 60 of our students have made their debuts on series produced for the leading TV station in Poland. The head writers of one of docuseries will participate in the classes as observers, and the texts sent as part of the homework will allow them to select potential scriptwriters for our projects from among students.
